Meet Rob

I am Rob de Jong and have been working as a project manager at KUBO for six years now. I have worked for years as a self-employed radish grower and also gained a lot of experience as an international cultivation consultant. I can put that knowledge to good use at KUBO. The best thing about my job? Supervising innovative, high-tech projects and building personal relationships with customers. It is truly a privilege to work on beautiful projects with enthusiastic colleagues at home and abroad. The flat organisational structure and accessibility within KUBO make it extra special for me. Despite the growth and our global success, the no-nonsense mentality remains central. That is exactly what makes us strong!

Rooted in Monster, involved in people and community

Together with my wife and our three sons, I live in our beautiful coastal village of Monster. Besides my work at KUBO, I thoroughly enjoy our family life, time with friends and socialising. But also in my spare time I like to stay active and involved in our local community, which is also connected to KUBO in sports and social engagement. For instance, I have been involved with football club SC Monster for many years, where I am responsible for technical matters and board activities as vice-chairman. KUBO is main sponsor of the Other Seniors at this club and makes an important contribution.

Involved in what really matters

I am also a board member at the Royal Dutch Rescue Society in Ter Heijde. The KNRM is ready 24/7 and all year round to save lives of people den animals at sea. Every year we organise National Lifeboat Day, a great moment when we show people what we do, and how important our work is. All this is only possible through the unconditional commitment and passion of volunteers who selflessly dedicate themselves at the risk of their own lives.

KUBO supports the KNRM in two ways: by allowing employees to leave work immediately when there’s a rescue mission, and by financially supporting the rescue station in Ter Heijde. In this way, KUBO contributes to safety at sea. Whether it’s on the football field, in the KNRM board, or at KUBO. For me, connection and collaboration are always most important.

It gives great satisfaction to achieve great results together with others and at the same time be able to give something back to our local community.
