Design Manager KUBO

As a Design Manager, you are the link between sales and engineering. As a technical specialist, you know how to translate complex customer requirements into smart, feasible solutions. You coordinate technical proposals through our network of innovative partners, prepare quotations and tenders, and ensure that every detail is accurate and complete.

You provide customers and account managers with technical support and lead the sales process from a technical perspective. Together with the account manager, you determine the next steps in the process to support the customer in the best possible way. Together, you ensure that customer needs are translated into practical and successful projects.

Thanks to your expertise, commercial opportunities are transformed into technically sound solutions that form the foundation of successful and innovative greenhouse horticulture projects.

You dive into complex customer requirements and, together with internal and external specialists, translate them into smart technical designs for greenhouse projects within the agreed timeline. In doing so, you take cultivation and energy-related recommendations into account, while also ensuring commercial feasibility.

You work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Design & Proposal, Sales, and Smart Growing. In addition, you maintain close contact with our suppliers, provide technical advice to prospective customers, and oversee project schedules, cost calculations, and layout drawings.

In summary, you will:

• Lead design processes with prospective customers and internal/external stakeholders during the Design & Proposal phase;
• Lead and coach the project team throughout the Design & Proposal phase;
• Coordinate with our established partners as well as potential new suppliers;
• Ensure a smooth technical handover when a quotation is converted into a project;
• Monitor the quality and progress of internal and external stakeholders within the design team;
• Maintain relationships with key suppliers and provide technical advice to prospective customers.

Voor deze rol zoeken we iemand die commercieel en technisch is ingesteld. Jij weet hoe je een klantvraag omzet in een duidelijke offerte en denkt graag mee over oplossingen. Je bent zelfstandig en kan leiding geven aan het ontwerp team, maar werkt ook prettig samen met collega’s. Je werkt nauwkeurig en gestructureerd en kunt goed schakelen in het Engels.

-          HBO werk- en denkniveau (bij voorkeur een technische afgeronde opleiding)

-          Je hebt ervaring in kostgericht ontwerpen en hebt minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie

-          Je hebt ervaring met tenderprocessen en / of Projectmanagement

-          Een vloeiende beheersing van zowel de Nederlandse als Engelse taal.
