Greenhouse Manager

As a Greenhouse Manager at KUBO, you’ll be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Green and Blue Labs. You’ll lead the team, supervise lab operators, and manage daily activities.

You’ll oversee greenhouse operations and ensure seamless collaboration between cultivation, technology, and innovation. You’ll keep irrigation, climate, and lighting systems running smoothly and respond quickly and effectively to any disruptions. You’ll contribute to data collection, follow crop strategies, and ensure a safe and structured working environment. Together with your colleagues, you’ll help shape the sustainable food supply of the future.

In this role, you’ll combine cultivation knowledge, technical insight, and leadership. You’ll ensure that everything in and around the Green and Blue Labs runs smoothly and keeps innovation going. You’ll be the go-to person for colleagues and ensure a safe, efficient, and forward-looking cultivation environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Leading employees and lab operators in daily operations;

• Monitoring and adjusting irrigation, climate, and lighting systems;

• Carrying out cultivation tasks and following protocols;

• Managing data collection and using digital registration systems;

• Planning and prioritizing experiments in collaboration with researchers;

• Identifying and solving technical issues and bottlenecks;

• Implementing crop, climate, and irrigation strategies;

• Ensuring hygiene, safety, and work discipline in the greenhouse.

You are a driven doer with a keen eye for quality and innovation. You enjoy being hands-on in the greenhouse while keeping your focus on the data. You thrive in a dynamic environment, switching gears quickly, thinking ahead, and always keeping an overview.

With your experience in horticulture and interest in technology, you know exactly how to turn innovative ideas into practical execution. You are the connecting force between cultivation, technology, and research – directly contributing to the greenhouse of the future.

You bring with you:

• Bachelor’s level education or equivalent, preferably in Horticulture or Agribusiness;

• Preferably experience in a research environment (such as a trial center or university);

• Interest in high-tech greenhouse processes and innovative systems;

• Familiarity with biological or integrated pest management;

• A structured, flexible, and quality-driven approach;

• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
