Your job in a nutshell

As a Sales Engineer, you are the link between sales and technology. You are the technical specialist who converts complex customer questions into smart and feasible solutions. You develop technical proposals, support the preparation of quotations and tenders and ensure that every detail is correct.  

You are a sparring partner for the account managers, provide them with technical substantiation and provide input for quotations and presentations. Together you ensure that customer wishes are translated into practical and successful projects. Thanks to your expertise, commercial opportunities are converted into technically well-thought-out solutions that form the basis for successful greenhouse horticulture projects.

What are you going to work on ?

You delve into complex customer questions and translate these into smart technical proposals together with colleagues. You are the technical specialist who knows everything about our solutions and effortlessly converts that knowledge into clear and convincing quotes. 

You work closely with colleagues from engineering in the Netherlands and, if necessary, support our engineering teams in India and Canada. They can call on your technical knowledge to solve substantive issues and to submit improvement proposals. 

You support account managers in developing quotes and tenders and ensure that every detail is technically correct and commercially convincing. In this way, you ensure that every greenhouse horticulture project starts with a solid, technically and commercially strong foundation. In short: you are the indispensable link between sales and technology.

What do you Bring?

For this role we are looking for someone with a commercial and technical mindset. You know how to convert a customer request into a clear quote and like to think along about solutions. You are independent and proactive, but also work well with colleagues. You work accurately and structured and can switch well in English.

  • HBO - diploma, preferably (technical) Business Administration;
  • Commercial insight and affinity with technology;
  • Good command of the English language;
  • Experience with sales and presentation;
  • Pré: experience with Autocad or Agro-sector.
