Your job in a nutshell

To strengthen and grow our team, we are looking for a driven Sales Manager for North America. As Sales Manager North America, you are the commercial face of HAWE in the United States and Canada. You see opportunities, know how to attract new customers and further develop existing relationships. You work on strategic, large-scale projects in high-tech greenhouse horticulture and manage your own sales processes - from the first contact to closing the deal. You are given the space to really shape your region to your liking, with plenty of freedom to make your own plan and make an impact. Technology, commerce and international ambition come together here. Although you mainly work from our office, traveling within North America is also part of it. You visit customers and projects on location to strengthen relationships, close deals or explore new opportunities. You are given the space to shape your region yourself. What are you going to work on ?

You are responsible for the entire sales process in North America. From identifying market developments and making initial contacts to putting together project teams and closing the deal. You combine market knowledge, commercial insight and technical affinity to successfully acquire and expand projects. You always look for the best solution for the customer - Best for Project is your starting point. At HAWE you work on projects that matter. You are given space, trust and a North American playing field. No micromanagement, but responsibility.

  • You build long-term relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders in your region;
  • You analyze the market, identify opportunities and translate these into concrete actions and sales plans;
  • You initiate and supervise the entire quotation process: from initial specifications to technical layout, together with our engineers and calculators;
  • You put together a team of specialists per project and lead the kick-off and coordination with internal departments;
  • You are visible at (inter)national trade fairs and events and represent HAWE there with conviction;
  • You actively participate in marketing and sales strategies per region;
  • You are responsible for your own region, your own customers and your own success.

What do you Bring?

You are an enterprising and persuasive sales professional who works independently and switches quickly. You have experience in an international environment and know how to build and capitalize on long-term customer relationships.

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in (North American) sales or account management; 
  • You speak and write fluent English and Dutch;
  • You have HBO work and thinking level, preferably in a commercial or technical direction;
  • You are strategically strong, result-oriented and like to take the lead;
  • You feel at home in a technically oriented work environment and switch easily between customer and technology.
